A group of friends gathered and made a decision to address the universal challenge of making water relaxation accessible, innovative, affordable, cost-effective and comfortable.
So, we developed a distinctive product, created for those who want to spend some quiet time near the sea or lake, without giving up comfort and convenience.
This is just the beginning of our work and we hope it will enable many people to spend their free time in full relaxation and harmony with nature.
It began with a rather banal observation: the necessity of spending a calm day on the sea.
We are Ligurian friends, a sea province where the sea is good but the beaches are few and narrow, pushed in between mountains and cliffs.
Many years of experience saw us notice one common problem facing friends and loved ones: inability to spend a day at the beach without exposing oneself to densely populated public beaches or the hugely costly charges of private beaches.
One day, watching a young man inflate his SUP to be able to avoid the crowd and enjoy some serenity on the sea, we noticed the great potential of DROP-STITCH material.
We looked at it inflated and appreciated its lightness and resistance.
It was then when the idea of creating an innovative product came: a new concept of Stand Up Paddle (SUP) with sunshade for sun protection, created not only for single sports activity but also for couples or small groups that must enjoy some relaxing and entertainment time on the sea or lake.
We took our holidays working in a firm that specializes in DROP-STITCH fabric, where, together with the staff, we created, cut, glued, and sewed the very first TurtleSUP.
The result was not perfect to begin with but showing it to professionals from the industry captured their interest and allowed us to obtain the guidance we required to make a prototype which surpassed all of our expectations when it came to quality and performance.
From there on, a story took shape which, although still budding, we believe could give individuals of any age the opportunity to enjoy their recreational time in concert with nature and relatives, without the need for prohibitive pricing and with freedom to cross over the sea or lake as and when they felt like.
